Cleaning and maintenance

Cotton Rugs (Not Rain Collection)

Daily cleaning may be done with regular vacuuming or by beating the rug. If the rug is stained it can tolerate machine wash at 30 degrees celcius. Stretch the rug and let it dry on a table or on the floor.

Jute Rugs

We recommend dry cleaning, but daily cleaning may be done with a vacuum cleaner, beating or a brush and a little soapy water. Let the rug lie flat and dry.

Bicycle Tube Rugs

Daily cleaning may be done with regular vacuuming or by beating the rug. If the rug is stained it can tolerate being cleaned with a moist cloth. Stretch the rug and let it dry on a table or on the floor.

Horizon Wool Rugs

Clean your wool rug with regular vacuuming or shaking. Dry cleaning only, do not use machine wash.

Plastic Rugs

Daily cleaning may be done with regular vacuuming or by beating the rug. If the rug is stained, it's often easier to rinse it with a garden hose than using a brush to avoid rubbing the stain in further between the fibres. Stretch the rug immediately if it gets wet.

Rain Cotton Rugs

Clean your Rain Cotton Rug with light vacuuming or shaking. The rug cannot withstand machine wash because of its thickness. The cotton absorbs great amounts of water which can damage the weave when centrifuged. Stains can be removed with a damp cloth. Let the rug lie flat and dry.
